Teaching

I have taught a very wide age range (literally from ages 2 to 92) in many different settings. As a community artist and educator, I document as much as I can of class time, participant artwork, and my curriculum. Here is only a select portion of that documentation. If you would like to see more, like individual lesson plans and evaluations, please contact me.

PHOTO DOCUMENTATION COMING SOON!

Art with a Heart & Partners In Care

March 2010-present: As part of a partnership between 2 nonprofits, Art with a Heart and Partners In Care, I facilitate a "Warm Houses" Arts & Crafts program to senior citizens living in the Brooklyn area of Baltimore City. The program serves as a social network for seniors who live independently in their own homes. The participants are mostly women between the ages of 60-100. They have named their collective "Odds & Ends" and their projects include painting, quilting, plastic canvas, jewelry making, decoupage, ornaments, and more.

Y of Central Maryland (Weinberg and Perry Hall Family Centers)

These classes include the Y Achievers afterschool program for middle and high school students, and evening and weekend classes for ages 3-12. Curriculum has included comic book creation, identity mapping, art history projects, collage, drawing skills, printmaking, paper mache, ceramics, and recyclable art.
